Rainy Roadtrip

There’s something beautifully soothing about a winding road, towering evergreens, and the patter of raindrops on a windshield. A couple weekends ago, we drove out to Rainier and back (although the mountain didn’t want to show itself) and got our fill of that trademark Pacific Northwest mist.

Thunderstruck

A few days of severe weather here in Texas. I could do without the intermittent tornado warnings, but other than that, this is my favorite weather -- dark and intense, rainy and windy, the sky a beautiful gray-blue and the grass just a shade deeper than usual.
